He’s wrong about …
He’s wrong about not having to notify employees about monitoring. He’s right that it’s the companies equipment, but what about the data on it? Who owns that? For example what if an employee sends personal emails during lunch hour?
You have to take away their expectation of privacy through login banners, a signed security policy, and security awareness training to remind that they have no expectation of privacy while at work.
