President’s Stimulus Package to pay for more abortions
January 26th, 2009 | by admin |The President’s Stimulus Package will be used to pay for more abortions. Yesterday on “ABC’s This Week”, George Stephanopoulos asked Nancy Pelosi about Barak Obama’s stimulus package. George asked specifically about the “hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?”
Pelosi muddled about the great burden and cost that children are to States. In her ramblings she missed two fundamental points. First, God gave children to parents not governments to raise. Second, children are a blessing not a curse on society (if they are raised with discipline and not put in charge of the country at the age of five!)
Let parents take full responsibility for their children’s education. The Presidents proposed expansion of preschool and daycare could be nixed saving us millions. Let parents send children to parochial, private, or home schools. My children go to a parochial school that gives (yes, in my bias opinion) a better education than the local public school at a fraction of the cost.
Parental responsibility in education, health care, and everything else raises the question of welfare moms. Does it take a Ph.D. in statistics to figure out that if welfare Wendy did not get state subsidy, she would figure out birth control on her own after one or two children to pay for? Besides this the relatives she is living with will probably muster up the courage to give her free counseling about changing her lifestyle.
If family planning is actually left a family matter, will it bring us to zero population growth? No Nancy is right on that, but population growth is a good thing. Look at European countries if you want to see the fruit of low birth rates. Their social programs stagger under the burden of not having enough children. Why? God ordained a cycle where we care for our children when they are young ,and they care for us when we are old.
Government is good. But our government needs to get out of the social engineering business.
