after having a cold leave me with an inner ear infection, i ended up with a perforated ear drum. Now on antibiotics the leaking of fluid from my ear has stopped. however I now have Bright yellow phlegm coming from my eustaction tubes into my throat, is this just part of the natural process. doeas anyone know?
Infection is the problem. Go to the Dr. It probably has nothing to do with ear problems. Go and make sure.

Is it possible for phlegm to get stuck in your chest so badly that you cant cough it out? Can medicine totally clean it away? Is it dangerous for phlegm to stay for too long?
Yes and no. It can be so thick that its difficult to get out and there are things to help. There are non medicinal ways to assist it, cool mist works wonders. Also having someone do CPT (chest percussion therapy) on your back (email me for technique) Or a doctor can get you a flutter device to help loosen mucus. If you feel like it just won't come up, then I can guess that you are either a smoker or spend lots of time around second hand smoke. I will be happy to give your more advice if you give me more details about whats going on, just email me. I suggest you contact a doctor though because mucus that just sits can grow bacteria and you don't want that in your lungs.

A few month ago, i had a bad cold and i had a lot of phlegm.
I tried to throw it up, but i couldn't. And i still have it, my mouth smells like a dog shit so basically i'm screwed. Is there any medicine to use? Please help and be serious!
try mucinex. OTC drug you can find at walmart, walgreens, etc. I loosens the phlegm and therefore you can blow, cough and spit it up.
if that doesn't work, i would call your doctor as could be some underlying issues.

At first it is a little, with yello, and sometimes green. But just a tiny bit is green. Then I spit out white saliva the rest of the time because my throat isn't clear. I have had repeated physicals and everything comes out normal. But why do I always have phlegm every morning?
Thanks for the responses, i don't smoke, and I stay far away from smokers. I am going to try sleeping differently and change the temperature in my room.
sounds like you have post nasal drip. the phlem pools in the back of your throat when you sleep. try sleeping on your stomach. also salt water irrigation of your sinuses can help. boil1 quart of water with 1tbsp. of table salt in it .LET IT GO TO ROOM TEMP. BEFORE USING. using an eye dropper lay on your back across the width o your bed . let your head and neck dangle off. slowly fill each nostril with the COOLED salt water solution. BREATH HROUGH YOUR MOUTH. LET WATER REMAIN IN NOSE FOR APPROX. 5 MINUTES. THEN QUICKLY ROLL ONTO YOUR STOMACH AND BLOW EVERY THEIN OUT OF YOUR NOSE. do this twice a day if you can for 2 weeks. the go to onec a day. this is an old fashioned remedy but its cheap ,safe , and it works

I've got a high fever which started last night. And I started coughing out dots of blood about one hour ago. So far it has occurred twice. The phlegm is greenish yellow, and on two occasions, came out with tiny dots of blood (less than a teaspoon).
It means you have an infection of some sort, likely in the sinus cavities, or you coughed hard enough to create a small tear or broke a capillary. Greenish yellow drainage means it's time to visit your friendly doctor. Meantime, use Tylenol and Motrin to control your fever if it gets to 102 or higher and don't worry about it until then. Fever is a great defense, body cells function well but virus and bacteria don't- they can't reproduce, so the immune system has a jump on whipping gerbie buns. Stay proper upright so the drainage goes down, lower the thermostat for easier time breathing, rest, and drink. That will help matters until you see the doctor. Don't worry about the spots of blood. Nothing major is broken, and you won't die of a hemorrhage. It just happens sometimes.

NO, it's NOT normal………and could be a sign of bronchitis among other things or serious chest infection. I don't know about anyone else……..but breathing problems are always fairly serious to ME!

What could it mean to cough up this color phlegm? (dark yellow)
It just started yesterday… what are some home remedies or comfort tips? Thanks!
It's pretty normal at times…drink plenty of water…as the last guy said…drink and drink and drink… If not, maybe drink something that is soothing to your throat.

Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can help cure your ailment. You can even try some home remedies. There is this website which I found very useful.
