Soul Coughing was … Soul Coughing was awesome when Ruby Varoom came out, saw them at the Whiskey with literally 15 people there to see them. They opened for another great band Failure. After KROQ got ahold of the next album with Super Bon Bon they went to . Mikes solos stuff though is still awesome!!!!

“This band” doesn’t … “This band” doesn’t exist anymore, now that Doughty is clean.
He does, however, have a solo career, and he does a lot of covers…
I like his solo stuff, and I like the old Soul Coughing stuff.. it’s nice to appreciate them on different levels.
And Doughty is an amazing lyricist, sober or not.
