How long does it take for pneumonia to clear up?

I got diagnosed with pneumonia on Monday, and have been taking the antibiotics to get rid of it. I still have a horrible cough, and breathing still hurts. How long does it take for the antibiotics to fully kick in?
Be faithful on taking your antibiotics right on schedule. Recovery depends on the extent of the pneumonia. You should be starting to feel better after a week or so. Sometimes it take take many weeks. Drink plenty of water. Walk every day. Get some sun if you can. Many times throughout the day, take deep slow breaths fully in and fully out to help your lungs clear out. This is critical. Get plenty of rest. Eat healthy.
