I've noticed that every single time my cat starts to purr, he'll go into a coughing fit and have to stop. Is this caused by heart worms? Are heart worms transferable to humans? What should I do? I honestly do NOT have the money to take him to a veterinarian. I wish I did, but I don't. He was a stray and he was fine at first, but now he's displaying this weird symptom.
I'm not saying that this is what's wrong with your cat, but our cat was diagnosed with asthma and is now on steroids to control it. He was coughing a lot, sounding like he was working on a hairball, but there was no hairball. Fortunately, if this is the problem with your cat, it is treatable and the steroids are not very expensive.

I have been producing yellow (sometimes green) phlegm in the morning for the past two months. The weird thing is that I am not coughing. The phlegm just comes out when I spit or when I try to clear my throat. I saw my doctor 5 times already during this period and all of them think it's allergies. But after taking Clarenex, Nasonex, Amoxicillin, and Erythromicin it's still there. Please help. Thank you.
green phlemg is a sign of pseudomonas infection …may b becuse u r taking all those anti biotic u r not having cough …
use a tab of cefotaxime 3 times a day for 5 days
or cefdinir or ceftibuten or
chloramphenicol 250 mg 3 times a day …5 days
or use colistin ..which is more potential…
